The front features intricate Fellahy embroidery inspired by Egypt’s Nile valley, while the back showcases traditional Siwan embroidery from the Oasis of Siwa in the Western Desert. The design depicts the five colors of the harvest of the olives and dates which are believed to represent protection, fertility and the connection to nature in daily life.

Each jacket is designed by Nevin, hand embroidered by skilled woman artisans from Egypt which makes each piece entirely unique. It takes up to 6 months to complete a single piece.

Embroidery is like hand writing and each woman can be identified by her stitching style.
